Description: Did you know that ants actively farm mealybugs the same way that humans farm cows? Learn about the interesting insects that live and feed on various trees found in the Parklands. Pot your own seedling to take home and grow, as well as learn about ways in which you can prevent insect pests from eating your tree! All materials included.

Description: Come and learn about how to use maps and compasses to find your way around Centennial Parklands and then compete in a three hour mini-Rogaine! The morning will be spent learning how to navigate. After lunch, Ranger-accompanied teams will compete to win the Winter 2009 Centennial Parklands Mini-Rogaine Trophy. Bring morning tea, lunch and a good supply of water and snacks.
